Bernard Ward Photography - Wedding, portrait & family
2017 Sony World Photography Awards - Ireland National Awards Winner
A few years ago I became a father for the first time when my fiancé gave birth to our beautiful baby girl Maria. She is the most beautiful little girl in the world and so much fun and seeing her develop makes me so proud. Since then we have welcomed our second little princess Clodagh in to the world. Life is just moving far too quickly which makes photography so precious. Photography offers families the chance to relive those precious moments that fly by too quickly. To be part of that experience is one of the most enjoyable aspects of my work and it is a pleasure to create photographs that will be truly cherished forever. Weddings, family portraits, and other special occasions offer a chance for families to get together and create endless memories. Inviting me to your special occasion allows you to relax in the confidence that you will be able to look back and remember the day with fondness through my photography.
These are the reasons why I became a photographer and why I keep taking photos. Being a wedding photographer in Derry is one of the biggest achievements in my career. To date my biggest achievement is winning 1st place at the Prestigious Sony world photography awards. This has given me the motivation to be the best photographer that I can and to be recognised internationally is such an overwhelming experience
